Studio Alfaia
Based in the capitals of Recife and Rio de Janeiro, Studio Alfaia takes its name from the alfaia, the traditional drum of Maracatu, an important expression of Northeastern Brazilian culture whose references are consistently present in the studio’s creations. Looking to the past without losing focus on the future, the studio is formed by designer Jaildo Lima, who began his specialization at the Academy of Fine Arts in Italy, and Argentine architect Leandra Fernandez. The daughter of a visual artist, she has always been closely connected to the creative process.
